Sept. 14 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Vietnam trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the 11 a.m. local-time close.
The VN Index, the benchmark measure of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, fell 0.5 percent to 466.99, halting a 13-day winning streak.
PetroVietnam Finance Joint-Stock Co. (PVF VN), a unit of Vietnam Oil & Gas Group, rose 2.7 percent to 15,500 dong. The company plans to pay its shareholders a dividend of 583 dong a share on Oct. 7, it said in a statement on the bourse’s website.
Pha Lai Thermal Power Joint-Stock Co. (PPC VN), the biggest listed electricity producer, gained 1.3 percent to 8,100 dong. The company will buy back 5 million shares from Oct. 3 to Jan. 3, according to a statement on the exchange’s website.
