Sept. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Gunmen today freed 24 boat passengers on Colombia’s Pacific coast, one day after kidnapping them in a possible robbery attempt, RCN Radio reported on its website, citing Navy Admiral Hernando Wills.
Health officials are treating the passengers, many of whom are suffering from dehydration, the radio station reported. Colombia’s Navy said yesterday in a statement that 15 people had been kidnapped. The report said the boat was a local ferry, with people transporting fish and groceries.
