Sept. 9 (Bloomberg) -- Empresas Copec SA, Chile’s largest forestry company, agreed to buy a 7.85 percent stake in Sociedad de Inversiones en Energia SA from Corp. Financiera Colombiana SA for 184 billion Colombian pesos ($102 million).
Corficolombiana, as the Colombian financial-services and holding company is known, will sell 14.5 million of SIE’s shares at 12,700 pesos each to Copec’s fuel distributor unit Cia. de Petroleos de Chile Copec SA, according to a filing posted yesterday on the Colombian financial regulator’s website. SIE controls Colombian fuel distributor Organizacion Terpel SA.
