Benakat, Citra Marga Nusaphala, Medco: Indonesia Equity Preview

Sept. 6 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies may have unusual moves in Indonesian trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and share prices are as of the previous close.

The Jakarta Composite index gained 0.6 percent to 3,866.17.

Energy companies: Crude oil for October delivery fell as much as 3.8 percent to $83.20 a barrel in after-hours trading in New York as of 8:36 a.m. Jakarta time.

PT Energi Mega Persada (ENRG IJ), Indonesia’s second-biggest listed oil company, slid 0.5 percent to 190 rupiah. PT Benakat Petroleum Energy (BIPI IJ) fell 1 percent to 99 rupiah.

Toll road operators: The government increased the tariffs for 11 toll roads by 7.58 percent to 12.48 percent from Sept. 28, Investor Daily Indonesia reported, citing Minister of Public Works Djoko Kirmanto.

PT Jasa Marga (JSMR IJ), the nation’s largest toll-road operator, advanced 2.5 percent to 4,100 rupiah and PT Citra Marga Nusaphala Persada (CMNP IJ) was unchanged at 1,610 rupiah.

PT Medco Energi Internasional (MEDC IJ): Indonesia’s biggest listed oil company is preparing to resume operation at its Area 47 oil block in Libya as it plans to reopen its office in the North African country as soon as this week, President Director Lukman Mahfoedz said in an e-mailed statement late yesterday. Medco declined 2.1 percent to 2,325 rupiah.

PT Semen Gresik (SMGR IJ): Indonesia’s largest cement maker plans to set up a unit this year that will handle coal-trading business for the company, Kontan reported, citing Finance Director Ahyanizzaman. Semen Gresik advanced 2.8 percent to 9,350 rupiah.
