Ageas, Royal Brill, Immo Moury, Wessanen: Benelux Equity Preview

Aug. 22 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies may have unusual price changes in Benelux markets. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and prices are from the previous close.

The Amsterdam Exchange Index fell 1.9 percent to 274.15. Belgium’s Bel20 Index lost 1.6 percent to 2,118.71. Luxembourg’s LuxX Index declined 0.9 percent to 1,109.80.

Dutch stocks:

Royal Brill NV (BRILL NA): The Dutch publisher of reference books is scheduled to report first-half results after the market closes. Brill fell 1 percent to 12.13 euros.

Royal Wessanen NV (WES NA): Private equity firm Delta Partners LLC raised its stake in the maker of Beckers croquettes to more than 20 percent. Wessanen fell 1.2 percent to 2.71 euros.

Belgian stocks:

Ageas (AGS BB): The insurer formerly known as Fortis won the Belgian central bank’s approval to buy back Fortis Bank SA/NV’s perpetual subordinated notes at par value on the Sept. 26 call date. Ageas will record an impairment of 40 million euros on the transaction in its second-quarter earnings. The shares fell 0.4 percent to 1.14 euros.

Immo Moury SCA (IMMOU BB): Belgium’s smallest real-estate investment fund said fiscal first-quarter net income fell to 300,000 euros from 366,000 euros. Net rental income slipped to 522,000 euros from 543,000 euros. The shares fell 1 cent to 62.49 euros.
