Aug. 22 (Bloomberg) -- The following stocks may rise or fall in South Africa. Symbols are in parentheses and prices are from the last close.
The FTSE/JSE Africa All Share Index stock index rose 89.83, or 0.3 percent, to 29,378.69 in Johannesburg.
Advtech Ltd. (ADH SJ): The education and training provider reports earnings for the six months ended June 30. The shares were unchanged at 5.60 rand.
Kairos Industrial Holdings Ltd. (KIR SJ): The investment holding company, with interests in mining supplies and engineering, said its Brokrew Industrial Ltd. unit had been placed in liquidation. The shares dropped 1 cent, or 33 percent, to 2 cents.
