Aug. 19 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Chilean trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 4:12 p.m. New York time.
The Ipsa index fell 0.5 percent to 4,129.71.
Colbun SA (COLBUN CC) retreated 0.2 percent to 118.98 pesos, its second day of losses. Chile’s third-largest power generator posted a net loss of $16.1 million in the second quarter, down from a profit of $55.5 million a year earlier, according to a filing sent today to regulators.
CTI Cia. Tecno Industrial SA (CTI CC) rose 6 percent to 34.99 pesos, its fourth day of gains. Swedish home appliances producer Electrolux AB confirmed it’s in talks with Chilean holding company Sigdo Koppers SA to buy CTI, a Chilean producer of home appliances.
Sigdo Koppers SA (SK CC) fell 1.9 percent to 800.2 pesos, its second day of losses.
Forus SA (FORUS CC) rose 5.3 percent to 1,400 pesos, the biggest gain in a week. The operator of apparel and footwear stores posted second-quarter profit of 7.3 billion pesos ($15.6 million), up 77 percent from a year earlier, according to a filing sent yesterday to regulators.
