Aug. 19 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Argentine trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of 4:28 p.m. New York time.
The Merval Index fell 1.6 percent to 2,825.38, its second day of losses. The gauge tumbled 4.8 percent during the week.
Tenaris SA (TS AF), the world’s largest producer of steel tubes used in the petroleum industry, dropped 4 percent to 67.80 pesos. Oil futures for September delivery climbed 0.3 percent today to $82.60 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Crude is near the lowest level of the year.
Sociedad Comercial del Plata SA (COME AF), a holding company that produces petroleum products through its subsidiaries, fell 2.1 percent to 65 centavos.
Petroleo Brasileiro SA (APBR AF) slid 1.9 percent to 58.30 pesos.
YPF SA (YPFD AF), the oil and gas producer that is Argentina’s largest company by market value, decreased 1.8 percent to 161 pesos.
