Aug. 22 (Bloomberg) -- Turkey’s benchmark ISE National 100 Index gained for a second day, adding 225.29, or 0.4 percent, to 53,287.03 at the 5:30 p.m. close in Istanbul.

Besiktas Futbol Yatirimlari Sanayi & Ticaret AS (BJKAS TI), the merchandising arm of the Istanbul-based soccer club, fell 26 kurus, or 3.1 percent, to 8.08 liras. The team’s chairman will be called in for questioning in an ongoing probe into league-wide match-fixing in Turkey, CNBC-e television reported, while UEFA’s chief investigator will visit the country to gather information and prepare a report, according to Milliyet newspaper.
Kerevitas Gida Sanayi & Ticaret AS (KERVT TI), a maker of canned and frozen food, fell as much as 5.8 percent before closing down 50 kurus, or 1 percent, at 51.5 liras. The second-quarter loss widened to 4.54 million liras ($2.5 million) from 1.83 million liras a year earlier, the company said.
Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (KOZAL TI), a gold miner, gained 80 kurus, or 3.3 percent, to 25 liras, its highest since Aug. 4. Gold reached a record high of $1,894.8 per ounce.
