Aug. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Wide receiver Steve Smith, a former Pro Bowl selection from the New York Giants, signed a one-year free-agent contract today with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Smith, 26, spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Giants, catching 220 passes for 2,386 yards and 11 touchdowns. He was selected for the Pro Bowl after a 2009 season in which he set a team record with 107 receptions.
Smith was limited by a knee injury to nine games and 48 receptions last season.
