Aug. 11 (Bloomberg) -- The following is a list of companies whose shares may have unusual price changes in Paris. Stock symbols are in parentheses after company names and prices are from the last close.
France’s benchmark CAC 40 Index fell 5.5 percent to 3,002.99, its biggest drop since December 2008.
Societe Generale (GLE FP): France’s second-largest bank issued a blanket denial of “all market rumors” after speculation that France’s creditworthiness was in doubt. The shares fell 15 percent to 22.18 euros in Paris.
Cie de Saint-Gobain (SGO FP): A unit of the manufacturer of glass and construction materials agreed to buy Bekaert NV’s specialty-films operations. The shares fell 8.1 percent to 31.43 euros.
Fonciere Atland (FATL FP): The real estate investment company said first-half revenue declined to 4.6 million euros ($6.5 million) from 4.8 million euros. The shares rose 9.9 percent to 61.8 euros.
Umanis (UMS FP): The computer consulting company said first-half revenue rose to 39.8 million euros from 27 million euros. The shares were unchanged at 5.8 euros.
