Aug. 5 (Bloomberg) -- Egypt’s Suez Canal rescue teams put out a fire that broke out on a Cypriot-flagged freighter before the ship entered the waterway, the state-run Middle East News Agency said.
The fire damaged eight containers on the vessel, MENA said, citing a Suez Canal Authority official.
The incident didn’t cause any casualties or disrupt navigation, MENA reported, adding that the ship continued its journey.
