Accor, Credit Agricole, Danone, Total: French Equity Preview

Shares in the following companies may have unusual moves in Paris trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are from the last close.

France’s CAC 40 Index fell 1.8 percent to 3,522.79. The broader SBF 120 Index dropped 1.9 percent to 2,678.38.

Accor SA (AC FP): The French hotel company signed a contract to sell caterer Lenotre to Sodexo and said it expects to complete the sale by the end of September. The shares slid 3.8 percent to 28.82 euros.

Casino Guichard-Perrachon SA (CO FP): The supermarket chain, which shares the control of Cia. Brasileira de Distribuicao Grupo Pao de Acucar with the Diniz family, filed a complaint against Pao de Acucar to Brazil’s securities regulator, according to its website. The shares slid 2.3 percent to 60.23 euros.

Credit Agricole SA (ACA FP): Credit Agricole Leasing & Factoring agreed to sell its Eurofactor U.K. unit to GE Capital, the French bank said in an e-mailed statement. It didn’t give financial terms. The shares fell 3.5 percent to 8 euros.

Danone SA (BN FP): The yogurt maker signed an accord to buy Wockhardt Group’s nutrition business in India for about 250 million euros ($355 million). The shares rose 0.7 percent to 49.51 euros.

ESI Group (ESI FP): The company signed three new agreements to distribute its software and services in Turkey with CAE Solutions, Onatus and RMC Muhendislik. The shares fell 1.6 percent to 12.50 euros.

Total SA (FP FP): France’s biggest oil company’s chief executive officer, Christophe de Margerie, will face trial related to the Iraqi Oil-for-Food program, Europe 1 radio reported, citing a judicial source. A Total spokesperson couldn’t be reached for comment. Shares slid 0.7 percent to 36.80 euros.
