Thailand Stocks: Bualuang, Dynasty, Italian-Thai, Polyplex

July 27 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Thailand trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the 4:30 p.m. close in Bangkok.

The SET Index rose 9.08 points, or 0.8 percent, to 1,130.71, the highest since August 1996.

Stock brokerages: Bualuang Securities Pcl (BLS TB) jumped 6.4 percent to 16.70 baht, the highest close since April 29. Phatra Capital Pcl (PHATRA TB) gained 2.3 percent to 32.75 baht. Trinity Watthana Pcl (TNITY TB) climbed 2.1 percent to 4.82 baht. KGI Securities (Thailand) Pcl (KGI TB) added 1.6 percent to 2.5 baht.

Trading turnover on the Stock Exchange of Thailand was 34.2 billion baht ($1.16 billion) a day in July, a 49 percent increase from the daily average in June, according to the bourse’s data.

Dynasty Ceramic Pcl (DCC TB), a ceramic tile maker, advanced 2 percent to 50.75 baht, the biggest gain since July 6. Profit in the second quarter climbed 5.2 percent to 337 million baht, or 0.83 baht a share.

Italian-Thai Development Pcl (ITD TB), Thailand’s largest construction company, gained 2.2 percent to 4.6 baht, the highest close since July 4. The company signed a contract valued at 344.3 million baht to install high-speed cellular phone network in 14 provinces, it said in a regulatory filing.

Polyplex Pcl (PTL TB), a producer of packaging films, climbed 4.3 percent to 24.30 baht, the most since May 19. The company will pay a cash dividend of 0.35 baht a share after reporting quarterly profit jumped 71 percent to 703.5 million baht.
