July 27 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Chilean trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 4:31 p.m. New York time.
The Ipsa index fell 2.5 percent to 4,413.54.
Cementos Bio Bio SA (CEMENT CC) slumped a record 16 percent to 780 pesos. The Chilean cement company said it will book a pre-tax loss of $58 million due to the sale of assets in the U.S., Ecuador, Chile and Peru.
Lan Airlines SA (LAN CC) retreated 2.8 percent, the most in five months, to 12,482 pesos. Latin America’s largest carrier by market value had second-quarter net income of $15.9 million, a 74 percent fall from last year and below an average estimate of $27 million among six analysts surveyed by Bloomberg.
Multiexport Foods SA (MULTIFOO CC), the Chilean salmon exporter, dropped 8.2 percent to 152.39 pesos, the biggest fall in two years. Chile’s fishing regulator reported traces of infectious-salmon-anemia in 23 locations in southern Chile, according to a report posted on its website July 22.
Other salmon farmers also slumped. Cia. Pesquera Camanchaca SA (CAMANCHA CC) fell 6.5 percent to 58 pesos, Invertec Pesquera Mar de Chiloe SA (INVERMAR CC) retreated 5.3 percent to 180 pesos. AquaChile SA (AQUACHIL CC) lost 4.1 percent to 350 pesos.
