Arab Potash Makes $236.7 Million Profits on Demand, Times Says

July 18 (Bloomberg) -- Arab Potash Co. made 167.5 million dinars ($236.7 million) in net profit in 2010 on high global demand, The Jordan Times said, citing General Manager Keith Thornton.

Amman, Jordan-based Arab Potash plans to expand its annual production to 2.5 million metric tons, he said.

Among APC’s shareholders are the Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan, Canada, which has a 27.96 percent stake, and the government of Jordan, which holds 26.88 percent of APC.
