Kenyan New-Car Sales Climb 12.7% in June, Association Says

Kenyan new-vehicle sales climbed 12.7 percent in June from a year earlier to 1,180, the country’s motor industry association said.

Vehicle sales in East Africa’s largest economy rose from 1,047 in June last year, the Nairobi-based Kenya Motor Industry Association said today in an e-mailed statement. It didn’t give a reason for the increase.

Japan’s Toyota Motor Corp. led the sales, followed by Isuzu Motors Ltd. and Mitsubishi Corp., according to the association.
