Persian Gulf Stocks: National Agriculture and Zad Holding

Dubai’s DFM General Index advanced for a second day, climbing 0.7 percent. Abu Dhabi’s ADX General Index gained 0.1 percent, while Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index slipped 0.2 percent.

The following stocks rose or fell in the Persian Gulf region. Symbols are in parentheses.

National Agriculture Marketing Co. (THIMAR AB) dropped to the lowest since May 1, slumping 8.1 percent to 22.05 riyals. The company known as Thimar said its board recommended a capital reduction of 25 percent to 75 million riyals ($20 million) to write off losses.

Zad Holding (ZHCD QD) gained the most in almost two weeks, climbing 1.5 percent to 55 riyals. Shareholders at the Qatari foods company approved the takeover of Meeda Projects Co.
