WestLB Paid Lawyer Merz 2 Million Euros Last Year, Welt Reports

June 7 (Bloomberg) -- WestLB AG’s owners paid the office of lawyer Friedrich Merz, who oversaw the potential sale of the bank, 2 million euros ($2.9 million) last year, while Morgan Stanley got 3.6 million euros, Die Welt newspaper said, citing unidentified people with knowledge of the payments.
