June 7 (Bloomberg) -- Iberdrola SA’s Scottish Power may build a gas-fired power plant near Bristol, southwest England.
“The very first stage of consultation is set to begin this month,” Scottish Power said today in an e-mailed statement.
The company is considering a so-called combined cycle gas turbine station that will generate as much as 1,200 megawatts of electricity and would be known as Avon Power Station, it said.
