May 16 (Bloomberg) -- The following is a list of companies whose shares may have unusual price changes in central European markets. Stock symbols are in parentheses after company names. Share prices are from the last close.
Poland’s WIG20 Index eased 0.3 percent, the Czech PX Index gained 0.5 percent and Hungary’s BUX Index lost 0.1 percent.
Amrest Holdings SE (EAT PW): The operator of Pizza Hut and KFC restaurants in central and eastern Europe said first-quarter net income rose to 13.4 million zloty from 11.6 million zloty. The shares fell 1.6 percent to 77.25 zloty.
Asseco Poland SA (ACP PW): Central Europe’s largest software maker said first-quarter net income rose to 97.2 million zloty ($35 million) from 95.5 million zloty a year earlier, the company said in a regulatory statement. Asseco retreated 4.2 percent to 49.5 zloty.
Bank Pekao SA (PEO PW): Poland’s second-largest bank was cut to “neutral” from “buy” at UBS AG. The shares declined 0.9 percent to 170.6 zloty.
CEZ AS (CEZ CP): the Czech Republic’s largest power producer is considering building a coal-fired plant in Germany at a cost of more than 1 billion euros ($1.4 billion), Chief Executive Officer Martin Roman said. CEZ rose 0.1 percent to 960 koruna.
Cyfrowy Polsat SA (CPS PW): Poland’s biggest private television group said first-quarter net income fell to 76.4 million zloty from 86.1 million zloty a year earlier. Cyfrowy advanced 1.2 percent to 16.9 zloty.
Enea SA (ENA PW): Poland’s third-largest power utility said first-quarter net income rose to 246.4 million zloty from 218.2 million zloty a year earlier. Enea lost 3.1 percent to 18 zloty.
Eurocash SA (EUR PW): Poland’s largest distributor of non-durable consumer goods said first-quarter net income fell 35 percent from a year earlier as costs increased. Eurocash rose 2.2 percent to 31.9 zloty.
Kernel Holding SA (KER PW): Ukraine’s largest sunflower-oil producer said third-quarter net income rose to $77.9 million from $40 million. Kernel added 0.9 percent to 71.9 zloty.
PGE SA (PGE PW): Poland’s biggest power producer said first-quarter net income increased to 1.24 billion zloty from 899.1 million zloty a year earlier. PGE shares fell 0.9 percent to 23.9 zloty.
