May 13 (Bloomberg) -- The 30-stock Micex Index closed 0.1 percent higher at 1,632.23 as of 6:45 p.m. in Moscow. The dollar-denominated RTS Index also gained 0.1 percent, to 1,866.3.
The following were among the most active stocks in the Russian market today. Stock symbols are in parenthesis.
OAO Rosneft (ROSN RX), Russia’s largest oil producer, fell for the third day, losing 0.5 percent to 230.26 rubles. Crude for June delivery slid 0.2 percent a barrel to $98.75 in New York.
OAO Transneft (TRNFP RX) advanced for a second day, adding 0.4 percent to 39,327 rubles after the Russian oil pipeline operator said profit measured by Russian accounting standards rose 16 percent in the first quarter from a year earlier.
United Co. Rusal (RUALR RX), the world’s biggest aluminum producer, declined in Moscow trading after MSCI Inc. yesterday said its Russian Depositary Receipts are not eligible for inclusion its semi-annual index review. The stock fell 1.5 percent to 408.75 rubles on the Micex Exchange. The RDR’s, the first of their kind, slid 1.2 percent to $14.6 on the dollar-denominated RTS Stock Exchange in the Russian capital. The Hong Kong-listed shares lost 0.7 percent to $11.52.
