May 13 (Bloomberg) -- Dredging Environmental & Marine Engineering NV and Van Oord Groep NV won a second dredging contract, valued at A$545 million ($580 million), for the development of the Gladstone liquefied natural-gas projects.
Queensland Gladstone Ports Corp. awarded the contract to a joint venture of Dredging International (Australia) Pty Ltd. and Van Oord Australia Pty Ltd., Zwijndrecht, Belgium-based DEME and Van Oord, based in the Dutch city of Rotterdam, said in e-mailed statements today. Dredging works will start after completion of the first contract, valued at A$260 million, in March 2012 and end in December 2014, according to the statement.
