Newcastle Captain Kevin Nolan to Undergo Surgery on Right Ankle

May 12 (Bloomberg) -- Newcastle captain Kevin Nolan will have surgery on his right ankle today and miss the final two games of the season, the Premier League club said on its website.

Nolan has been troubled by an ankle problem all season and today’s “minor” operation will allow him to be ready for the start of preseason in July, Newcastle said.

Goalkeeper Steve Harper will also had a planned operation on his left knee tomorrow in order to be ready for the preseason, the club said.
