May 11 (Bloomberg) -- Ireland Blyth Ltd., Mauritius’s second-largest diversified company, said profit increased 21 percent in the third quarter through March as sales at its seafood-processing operation climbed.
Net income advanced to 67.4 million rupees ($2.5 million) from 55.5 million rupees, it said in a statement on the Port Louis-based Stock Exchange of Mauritius’s website today. Revenue rose to 3.61 billion rupees from 2.9 billion rupees, with sales at its seafood unit jumping 54 percent to 863.8 million rupees.
Nine-months profit declined to 377.1 million rupees from 1.21 billion rupees a year earlier, with the previous period’s income boosted by 867 million rupees generated through the sale of a 29.4 percent stake in Sun Resorts Ltd., Ireland Blyth said.
