May 9 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Chilean trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 4:06 p.m. New York time.

The Ipsa index rose 0.2 percent to 4,821.66. The MSCI Chile index dropped 0.9 percent to 2,827.48.

Antarchile SA (ANTAR CC), the forestry and energy holding company owned by Chile’s Angelini Group, gained 1.3 percent to 9,890 pesos. Chile’s trade surplus rose to $1.58 billion in April as exports grew 30 percent from the previous year, the central bank said.

Colbun SA (COLBUN CC), Chile’s third-largest power producer by installed capacity, advanced 1 percent to 143.15 pesos as authorities prepare to vote on its HidroAysen power project. Approval would give Colbun and its partner in the project Empresa Nacional de Electricidad SA (ENDESA CC) an environmental license for what’s designed to be Chile’s biggest power plant. Endesa advanced 1.4 percent to 889.05 pesos.

Empresas La Polar SA (LAPOLAR CC), Chile’s fourth-largest department-store operator, rose 3 percent, its biggest one-day increase in a month, to 2,771.7 pesos. The central bank forecast that imports will grow 18 percent this year, and internal demand will increase 7.6 percent.
