Clint Dempsey scored two goals as Fulham beat Bolton 3-0 in English soccer’s Premier League to pull further clear of the relegation zone.
Dempsey scored in the 15th and 48th minutes at Craven Cottage in London last night as Fulham extended its unbeaten run at home to seven matches. Brede Hangeland added the third goal with a 65th-minute header.
The victory lifts Fulham up to ninth place in the 20-team league with 42 points, eight clear of the three-team relegation positions with four games remaining. Bolton stays in eighth place with 46 points.
