Italy’s benchmark FTSE MIB Index dropped 347.38, or 1.6 percent, to 22,018.55 in Milan.
Biancamano SpA (BCM IM): Mediobanca Securities initiated coverage of the waste disposal company with an “outperform” recommendation. The shares lost 1.2 percent to 1.53 euros.
Diasorin SpA (DIA IM): Intermonte Sim upgraded the supplier of diagnostic tests to “outperform” from “neutral.” The shares lost 1.9 percent to 31.5 euros.
Edison SpA (EDN IM): Goldman Sachs Group Inc. cut its price estimate on the utility to 99 euro cents from 1.04 euros. The shares added 0.1 percent to 78.6 euro cents.
Enel SpA (ENEL IM): Credit Suisse Group AG upgraded Italy’s biggest utility to “outperform” from “neutral.” The shares declined 1.1 percent to 4.54 euros.
Enel Green Power SpA (EGPW IM): Credit Suisse lifted its price estimate on the renewable energy unit of Italy’s biggest utility to 1.9 euros from 1.75 euros. The brokerage kept a “neutral” rating. The shares lost 0.9 percent to 2.02 euros.
Impregilo SpA (IPG IM): Italy’s largest construction company won a 144 million-euro contract for a motorway in Romania. The shares lost 2.6 percent to 2.29 euros.
Maire Tecnimont (MT IM): Banca Akros initiated coverage of the stock with an “accumulate” rating. The shares lost 2.7 percent to 2.91 euros.
Mediaset SpA (MS IM): The television company controlled by Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi had its price estimate lowered to 4.1 euros from 4.3 euros at HSBC Holdings Plc. The shares lost 1.2 percent to 4.46 euros.
