April 7 (Bloomberg) -- Mitsubishi Corp. and China’s Sinohydro Corp. are among companies invited to bid for work on the Red Sea Project for desalinating water, the Jordan Times said, citing Minister of Water and Irrigation Mohammad Najjar.
Orascom Construction Industries, Egypt’s largest publicly traded builder, was also selected to bid by September for the contract, as were Samsung C&T Corp. of South Korea, Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power and Acciona SA of Spain, the newspaper reported. The project aims to ease Jordan’s water shortage by desalinating water from the Red Sea.
