March 27 (Bloomberg) -- Scotland’s Paul Lawrie scored an even-par 70 in his final round to win golf’s Andalucia Open today and end a nine-year victory drought.
Lawrie, winner of the British Open in 1999, finished at 12-under par in Malaga, Spain. Johan Edfors of Sweden was second at 11-under with Chile’s Felipe Aguilar a shot further back in third.
Lawrie picked up a check for 166,660 euros ($234,000) with his sixth European Tour title.
