March 23 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies may have unusual moves in Philippine trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and prices are as of the previous close, unless stated otherwise.
The Philippine Stock Exchange Index rose 0.3 percent to 3,854.14.
Island Information & Technology Inc. (IS PM): The company that invests in Internet technology and global computer networks has been authorized by its board to hold a stock rights offering, an exchange filing showed. The stock was unchanged at 4.8 centavos.
PAL Holdings Inc. (PAL PM): The ground crew of Philippine Airlines Inc., the nation’s largest carrier and a unit of PAL, will start voting today on whether to go on strike to protest management’s refusal to “bargain” with the group, Philippine Airlines Employees Association President Gerry Rivera said. Results of the vote may be known March 25, he said. The stock was unchanged at 4.90 pesos.
