BP Texas City Refinery Has Power Surges, State Filing Shows

March 21 (Bloomberg) -- BP Plc experienced power surges that caused several units to become unstable at its Texas City refinery in Texas yesterday, according to a filing with state regulators.

The units were stabilized and resumed operation, according to the filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Emissions associated with the incident occurred between 3 a.m. and 8 a.m. local time yesterday.

The Texas City refinery has a capacity of 475,000 barrels a day, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
