March 4 (Bloomberg) -- Essar Telecom Kenya Ltd. Country Manager Atul Chaturvedi said he will step down and be replaced by Madhur Taneja, the chief executive officer of Warid Telecom in neighboring Uganda.
Chaturvedi will be “moving out of an executive role” at Essar Kenya, known as yu, he said in a phone interview today from Nairobi, the capital.
Chaturvedi is the third person to head Essar Communications Holdings Ltd’s Kenyan unit, the East African nation’s fourth-biggest mobile company, since it began operations in November 2008. Taneja will replace Chaturvedi in March, the Nairobi-based Daily Nation reported today.
