March 2 (Bloomberg) -- Softbank Corp. said it doesn’t intend to buy shares of Yahoo Japan Corp., denying an earlier media report.

Softbank is not having any discussions about acquiring shares of Yahoo Japan, said Takeaki Nukii, a spokesman at the Tokyo-based mobile-phone operator. Reuters earlier reported on the talks.
