March 2 (Bloomberg) -- Fast Retailing releases sales figures for its Uniqlo clothing chain for February. Sales rose in January for the first time in six months.

WHAT TO WATCH *The Bank of Japan reports the monetary base for February at 8:50 a.m. *SBO Securities, kabu.com Securities, Monex Securities and Rakuten Securities will jointly brief on online sales of mutual funds at 11 a.m. *Auction result of Treasury Discount Bills at 12:35 p.m. *Eli Lilly’s Japan unit briefs on earnings at 2 p.m. *Fast Retailing (9983 JT) releases same-store sale data for its Uniqlo stores in February at 3:05 p.m. Sales in January rose for the first time in six months. *Nissan Motor (7201 JT) briefs on its ‘Life On Board’ well-being technologies at 3:30 p.m. *Yushiro Chemical Industry (5013 JT) releases the terms of a 1.48 billion yen share sale. EQUITY PREVIEW *ANA (9202 JT) said it will seek to almost double revenue on its international routes by 2015, the Nikkei newspaper said. *Hitachi (6501 JT) The UK government said that a train renewal project worth 600 billion yen will go ahead as planned.
