French Stocks: Maurel & Prom, Remy Cointreau and Technicolor

March 1 (Bloomberg) -- France’s CAC 40 Index declined 43.20, or 1.1 percent, to 4,067.15 in Paris. The SBF 120 Index decreased 0.9 percent.

The following shares rose or fell in Paris. Stock symbols are in parentheses.

Groupe Steria SCA (RIA FP) slid 1.3 percent to 22.58 euros. The computer-services company said full-year net income declined 11 percent to 42.9 million euros ($59.3 million) as it re-evaluated pension commitments and covered the costs of “rationalization and optimization” of offices.

Etablissements Maurel & Prom (MAU FP) jumped 4 percent to 13.65 euros. The French oil producer with a market value of about 1.58 billion euros is weighing a sale, said three people with direct knowledge of the matter. The company is working with banks including Citigroup Inc. to explore options and has drawn interest from potential bidders, said two of the people. Spokesmen for Maurel & Prom and for Citigroup declined to comment.

Remy Cointreau SA (RCO FP) gained 2.7 percent to 50.01 euros. The distributor of wines and spirits said it has entered exclusive talks to sell its Champagne division to EPI, the owner of French retail brands including Bonpoint. The stock was raised to “add” from “reduce” at Gilbert Dupont.

Technicolor SA (TCH FP) lost 5.7 percent to 5.17 euros. The company posted a full-year net loss of 69 million euros compared with a loss of 342 million euros a year earlier, the company said.
