Feb. 28 (Bloomberg) -- France’s CAC 40 Index added 1 percent to 4,110.35 at the 5:30 p.m. close in Paris. The measure has gained 2.6 percent this month. The SBF 120 Index also rose 1 percent today to 3,071.81.
The following shares declined or advanced on the French equity market today.
Atos Origin SA (ATO FP) climbed 1.6 percent to 41.95 euros. Barclays Capital raised its rating on France’s second-biggest provider of computer services to “equal-weight” from “underweight.”
BNP Paribas SA (BNP FP) rose 1.2 percent to 56.58 euros. The French bank said it plans to sell five-year senior unsecured bonds in euros, according to a person with knowledge of the transaction.
CFAO (CFAO FP) rallied 2.7 percent to 26.80 euros after the African distributor reported 2010 net income of 100.2 million euros ($138.5 million) compared with an average estimate of 95.4 million euros among the five analysts surveyed by Bloomberg.
CGGVeritas (GA FP) increased 2.8 percent to 26.88 euros after Pareto Securities raised the world’s largest seismic surveyor of oilfields to “buy’ from “hold.”
Eurofins Scientific (ERF FP) surged 8 percent to 59.70 euros. The Kraainem, Belgium-based laboratory analysis company reported 2010 net income of 25 million euros.
Renault SA (RNO FP), France’s second-largest carmaker, gained 3.4 percent to 44.42 euros. Daimler AG and Renault plan to cooperate on electric car production, Stuttgarter Zeitung reported yesterday.
