Feb. 24 (Bloomberg) -- Austria’s benchmark ATX Index slid for a sixth day, losing 0.2 percent to 2,862.60 at the 5:30 p.m. close in Vienna.
The following were among the most active stocks in the Austrian market. Symbols are in parentheses.
Erste Group Bank AG (EBS AV) ended a two-day increase, falling 1.3 percent to 38 euros. Eastern Europe’s second-biggest lender said that it gave out 7 percent less new credit in Austria in 2010.
OMV AG (OMV AV) ended a four-day loss, rising 2.9 percent to 30.95 euros. Societe Generale SA recommended buying shares of central Europe’s largest oil company, saying in a note that “the market has overreacted to recent events.”
