Feb. 21 (Bloomberg) -- The Netherlands’ AEX-Index dropped 3.27, or 0.9 percent, to 370.92 in Amsterdam, falling for the first time in a week. Belgium’s Bel20 Index declined 1.4 percent to 2,715.66.
The following are among the most active stocks in the Benelux markets today. Symbols are in parentheses.
AMG Advanced Metallurgical Group NV (AMG NA) gained 2 percent to 13.28 euros, ending two days of declines. The maker of vacuum furnaces bought KB Alloys LLC, an aluminum master alloy producer, from CHS Capital LLC for $23.5 million.
Corio NV (CORA NA) dropped 2.7 percent to 47.79 euros, the largest fall since November. The biggest Dutch property investor was cut to “neutral” from “buy” at UBS AG.
SNS Reaal NV (SR NA) rose 5.3 percent to 3.79 euros, a second straight advance. The Dutch bank and insurer that is winding down property finance loans to restore profits was upgraded to “buy” from “hold” at Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc.
TNT NV (TNT NA) slid 2.5 percent to 19.94 euros, the biggest drop since December. The Dutch mail carrier that’s planning to spin off its express business forecast Dutch addressed mail volumes will decline as much as 10 percent in 2011.
TomTom NV (TOM2 NA) slid 3.5 percent to 6.25 euros, extending an 11 percent plunge on Feb. 18. Europe’s biggest maker of portable navigation devices was cut to “neutral” from “buy” at UBS.
