The Netherlands’ AEX-Index gained 0.98, or 0.3 percent, to 371.49 at the 5:30 p.m. close in Amsterdam, its third straight advance. Belgium’s Bel20 Index rose 0.9 percent to 2,755.61.

Heineken NV (HEIA NA) rose 3.1 percent to 38.04 euros, the largest gain since May. The world’s third-largest brewer reported 2010 profit that beat analysts’ estimates as it lowered costs more than predicted amid falling sales of beer.
Imtech NV (IM NA) dropped 3 percent to 27 euros, the biggest decline in five weeks. The largest Dutch technical services company had its rating cut to “underperform” from “outperform” at Cheuvreux SA.
Arseus NV (RCUS BB) jumped 3.3 percent to 11.81 euros, the biggest gain in almost two months. Europe’s biggest supplier of ingredients to compounding pharmacies said earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization rose 15 percent in 2010.
