Feb. 16 (Bloomberg) -- The following stocks may be active in Turkey. Symbols are in parentheses and prices are from the last close.
Turkey’s benchmark ISE National 100 index rose 233.28, or 0.4 percent, to 64,802.14 yesterday.
Akenerji Elektrik Uretim AS (AKENR TI): The Turkish power generator reported a loss of 27.5 million liras ($17 million) for 2010 in a filing for tax purposes only, according to a statement to the Istanbul Stock Exchange after the market closed yesterday. The company is due to report full earnings for this year later this month. Akenerji was unchanged at 3.22 liras.
BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS (BIMAS TI): The Turkish discount supermarket chain was raised to “neutral” from “underweight” at HSBC Holdings PLC, with a price estimate of 58 liras, according to an e-mailed report today. BIM gained 1 lira, or 2 percent, to 51.25 liras.
Dogan Yayin Holding AS (DYHOL TI): Turkey’s biggest media group said the country’s top administrative court cancelled backtaxes and fines of 1.04 billion liras that carried interest of an additional 786 million liras, according to a statement to the bourse today. Dogan Yayin rose 1 kurus, or 0.5 percent, to 2.08 liras.
