Egypt’s Suleiman Escaped Assassination Attempt, Fox News Says

Feb. 5 (Bloomberg) -- Egyptian Vice President Omar Suleiman escaped an attempted assassination following his Jan. 29 appointment that left two bodyguards dead, Fox News reported, citing a senior U.S. government official it didn’t identify.

Suleiman, who may take over as the country’s interim leader under proposals for a transition from President Hosni Mubarak, was targeted in an attack on his motorcade, Fox News said, without providing a date or location.
