Feb. 4 (Bloomberg) -- Fourteen investors have shown interest in the 50 percent stake in French dairy products maker Yoplait SAS that PAI Partners wants to sell, including General Mills Inc. and Nestle SA, Les Echos reported, without citing anyone.
Private-equity firm PAI will accept initial offers from today, the newspaper said.
Other bidders may include Mexican foodmaker Grupo Lala SA, buyout funds Lion Capital LLP, Axa Private Equity, and Bain Capital LLC, Les Echos added. KKR and the Chinese companies Bright Foods and Bright Dairy may also bid, the newspaper said.
Nestle may partner with French dairy product maker Groupe Lactalis, whose 1.38 billion-euro ($1.88 billion) bid for 100 percent of Yoplait was rejected last year, Les Echos said. The French sovereign fund, FSI, may also seek a stake in Yoplait, the newspaper reported.
