Jan. 26 (Bloomberg) -- Valero Energy Corp. advanced projects to build new hydrocrackers at refineries in Port Arthur, Texas, and in Norco, Louisiana, said Bill Day, a company spokesman in San Antonio, Texas.
The completion of the hydrocracker at Port Arthur has been moved to the third quarter of 2012 from the fourth quarter, Day said. The hydrocracker installation at the St. Charles refinery has been accelerated to the fourth quarter of 2012 from the fourth quarter of 2013.
The Port Arthur project will cost $1.5 billion and the St. Charles addition will cost $1.4 billion, Day said.
