Saudi Arabia Plans More Military Hardware Output, Arab News Says

Jan. 19 (Bloomberg) -- Saudi Arabia wants to produce more of its military equipment and spare parts inside the kingdom by using technology transferred from abroad, Arab News reported, citing the assistant minister of defense and aviation. Prince Khaled bin Sultan.

The ministry also wants the private sector companies to help manufacture military hardware, the Jeddah-based newspaper reported. More than 70 percent of its military equipment can be produced at home, the newspaper quoted Prince Khaled as saying.
