Jan. 18 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Chilean trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 3:23 p.m. New York time.
The Ipsa index fell 0.1 percent to 4,929.79.
AFP Habitat SA (HABITAT CC) rose 0.4 percent to 661.85 pesos. Chile’s second-largest pension fund manager by assets gained 5.1 percent in the last two days after the brokerage unit of Banco de Credito e Inversiones initiated coverage of the stock at “overweight.”
AFP Provida SA, Chile’s largest pension fund manager, also gained, rising 1.8 percent to 2,616.5 pesos.
Cia. Pesquera Camanchaca SA (CAMANCHA CC) fell 0.5 percent to 80.49 pesos. The Chilean fishing company agreed to merge some of its fishing assets with Pesquera Bio Bio SA into a new company to be owned 70 percent by Camanchaca.
Empresas Copec SA (COPEC CC), Chile’s largest pulp exporter, gained 0.3 percent to 8,622.1 pesos. Celulosa Arauco y Constitucion SA, a Copec unit, and Finland’s Stora Enso Oyj, agreed to invest $1.9 billion to build a new pulp mill in Uruguay.
