Jan. 17 (Bloomberg) -- Vietnam’s Ministry of Finance lowered import duties for some petroleum products from Jan. 14, the ministry said on its website.
The import tax for gasoline was cut to zero percent from 6 percent, and that on diesel was decreased to zero percent from 2 percent. This tax on kerosene was reduced to 2 percent from 6 percent, that on mazut was lowered to 2 percent from 5 percent, the statement said.
The ministry also asked sellers of petroleum products not to raise prices for now, it said in a separate statement.
