Jan. 16 (Bloomberg) -- German publisher Bauer AG is the favorite to buy a majority stake in the BBC’s magazine arm, with a 100 million pound ($159 million) deal expected by March, the Mail on Sunday said, without saying how it got the information.
Bauer is tipped to acquire titles including the “Radio Times” and “Lonely Planet,” the newspaper said. Other potential buyers are Britain’s Haymarket Media Group and Future Publishing Ltd. and also Germany’s Hubert Burda Media, the Mail on Sunday reported.
