The following is a list of companies whose shares may have unusual price changes in South Africa. Stock symbols are in parentheses after company names and prices are from the last close.
South Africa’s FTSE/JSE Africa All Share Index advanced for the third day, rising 148.21, or 0.5 percent, to 32,632.15 at the 5 p.m. close in Johannesburg.
Distribution and Warehousing Network Ltd. (DAW SJ): The seller of hardware supplies and branded tools holds its annual general meeting. The company is also still in unspecified talks first announced on Sept. 6. Shares in the company were unchanged at 8.75 rand.
Excellerate Holdings Ltd. (EXL SJ): The provider of cleaning and parking services holds a meeting of shareholders. The stock was unchanged at 75 cents.
Optimum Coal Holdings Ltd. (OPT SJ): The coal mining company releases a production update. Optimum rose for a second day, adding 54 cents, or 1.9 percent, to 29.70 rand.
Premium Properties Ltd. (PMM SJ): The real-estate investor may announce details of a rights offer. Shares in Premium fell 5 cents, or 0.3 percent, to 15.25 rand.
Telkom South Africa Ltd. (TKG SJ): Jeffrey Hedberg, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of Africa’s largest fixed-line operator, has resigned and will step down at the end of March. Telkom shares lost 30 cents, or 0.8 percent, to close at 37 rand.

Anglo American Plc (AAUKY US) rose 0.2 percent to $26.66. AngloGold Ashanti Ltd. (AU US) dropped 2.6 percent to $44.37. BHP Billiton Ltd. (BBL US) fell 0.9 percent to $79.52. DRDGold Ltd. (DROOY US) lost 0.4 percent to $4.85. Gold Fields Ltd. (GFI US) retreated 2.3 percent to $16.88. Harmony Gold Mining Co. (HMY US) slipped 1.5 percent to $11.34. Impala Platinum Holdings (IMPUY US) was unchanged at $34.60. Sappi Ltd. (SPP US) added 2.8 percent to $5.18. Sasol Ltd. (SSL US) was little changed at 51.49 rand.
