Vietnam’s Stocks: Camau Frozen Seafood, Hoa Binh Rubber

Vietnam’s VN Index, the benchmark measure of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, gained 0.2 percent to 478.45 at the 11 a.m. local-time close. The following stocks had unusual moves and stock symbols are in parenthesis.

Camau Frozen Seafood Processing Import & Export Corp. (CMX VN), which processes frozen foods, rose 0.7 percent to 15,000 dong. Nguyen An Ninh, vice chairman of the company, registered to buy 100,000 shares to raise his stake to 1.35 million shares, according to a statement on the bourse’s website.

Hoa Binh Rubber Joint-Stock Co. (HRC VN), which produces and processes latex rubber, increased 0.8 percent to 62,000 dong, the highest since Jan. 7.

Rubber extended gains to a record as a rally in stock markets boosted investor confidence in the global economic recovery. June-delivery rubber climbed as much as 2.3 percent to 450.2 yen a kilogram ($5,409 a metric ton) on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange before trading at 449.9 yen at 11:42 a.m.
